Fishbowl Sonata
Fishbowl Sonata is an augmented retelling of the gruesome case of the Fritzl family. It parallels the "upstairs" children, who lived a seemingly normal life with Josef Fritzl and his wife, with the "downstairs" children, who were born and raised in captivity with their mother, Elisabeth.
Costumes in Fishbowl Sonata embraced aesthetics of the 18th century to complement the classical music used in the play, while also using contrasting palettes to compare the lives of the “upstairs” and “downstairs” characters.
